| Linux Specific |
| • | yapfr: | Yet Another (Linux) Proc File Reader. Used to monitor performance on Linux systems. yapfr can monitor network, memory, CPU, SysV IPC, disk, sockets, load and other system values on 2.2, 2.4, and 2.6 kernels. (Tested specifically with SuSE Enterprise 8 / 9, Red Hat Enterprise 2.1 / 3 / 4 / 5, Platforms x86 / AMD64 / PPC.) Latest Update 4.3.0! |
| • | pstat: | A group of tools for monitoring and reporting on processes. |
| • | ppath: | A (more) parsable version of the "multipath" command. |
| • | ethtest: | A cron-able utility to watch and report on mis-configured or excessive errors on Ethernet devices. It reports via syslog, stdout, HP's ITO Console, or remote syslogging. |

| • | mvdev: | A script used to change disk device names. |
| • | sread: | A stanza file reader. Use this utility to retrieve individual "rows" or "columns" from stanza files. |
| • | hbainfo: | A utility for retrieving additional information about your HBA not provided by the standard OS utilities. |

| Unix Utilities |
| • | pong: | A ping-like utility that works at the port level. |
| • | TestPipe: | A client server pair of binaries to measure network bandwidth or generate network load without a need for disk access on either system. |
| • | webhead: | This utility is used to return the header response from a web server using the HEAD (request) method. |
| • | rsyslog: | A remote syslog client that can send syslog messages to remote servers (from the command line). |

| Systems Monitoring / ITO Tools |
| • | lsyslog: | A syslog daemon with a rules processing engine that can filter incoming syslog messages for facility, priority, hostname and/or key words. Messages can be re-routed to an ITO console, another syslog daemon, SOC System, or to an alternate source such as a web page. |
| • | syschk: | A cron-able system monitoring tool that looks for a number of problematic situations on a Linux system. syschk is one of the many tools that can report to SOC (as well as other event monitoring systems). |
